The Nancy Tweddle Foundation are proud to support Ward 55, in the Brooklyn area of Cape Town through the Adopt a Mission project.
A district which has struggled with substance and alcohol addiction for many years, children in the Ward 55 area are susceptible to the effects of drink and drugs through absentee or abusive parents.
By offering funding and support to the Adopt a mission initiative, we are delighted to see positive change actioned in communities local to Brooklyn.
Even though children and parents may have a desire to improve their habits, it is extremely hard to exit this cycle of deterioration without external intervention and support.
That’s why the Adopt a mission team’s impact in the community is so integral to the betterment of not only the younger generation, but those looking after them too.
